About This Opportunity

We are creating nearly 200 fully remote jobs in Brazil for various financial technology engineering, database, development, and testing teams. As an e-commerce developer, you will have the opportunity to build and enhance digital and online customer experiences for well-known brands. You will apply your knowledge and skills in Magento/Adobe Commerce to build full-featured experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze requirements/user stories to support design activities.
  • Perform technical aspects of software development, including developing prototypes and writing new code and/or APIs.
  • Perform unit testing of software components, including design, implementation, evaluation, and execution of unit test scripts.
  • Conduct code reviews and tests of automated build scripts.
  • Debug software components, identify, fix, and verify remediation of code defects.
  • Lead project/feature implementation and delegate accordingly.
  • Ensure application performance.
  • Research and resolve production issues.
  • Identify tools and ensure feature and application security.
  • Support Magento 2x development of open and closed-loop product platforms deployed to the cloud.
  • Follow InComm standards and best practices for logging and code review.
  • Manage and maintain lower environments on-prem and cloud (QA, UAT, Staging).
  • Create documentation on the existing system and maintain documentation.
  • Develop problem-solving skills and work with innovative solutions.
  • Migrate platforms and application components.
  • Support after-hours coverage/escalation and on-call rotation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's/M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Technical background with good English communication and writing skills.
  • 7+ years of progressive development experience.
  • 5+ years in Magento/Adobe Commerce development.
  • Familiarity with system design.
  • Experience developing customer-facing web experiences using PHP 7/8, HTML, jQuery, MySQL, and REST web technologies.
  • Experience with the entire Agile lifecycle of software development.
  • System monitoring tools like Splunk, Elastic.
  • Expert understanding of API Architecture and Management, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment, Release Automation, Software Architecture and Patterns, Automated Testing.
  • Ability to contribute to a development team using Agile software development methodologies and principles.
  • Familiarity with Azure Cloud environment (not required, but a plus).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's/M.S. degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Additional skillsets: Redis and Varnish.
  • Experience with relational databases (MySQL).
  • Basic programming ability; working knowledge of PHP and JavaScript with Object-Oriented Programming and Design Principles.
  • Ability to analyze and document complex business processes.
  • Ability to think analytically and be a problem solver.
  • Ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, and multi-task across many assignments.
