Structural Design Specialist

As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for performing structural analysis and design through hand calculations and computer modeling. You will also prepare project materials, specifications, and structural configurations. Additionally, you will coordinate with architects and other engineering disciplines to deliver well-integrated designs.
You will support construction contract administration by reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting site observations. Furthermore, you will mentor and review the work of other engineers and technical staff. You will contribute to internal technical training and knowledge-sharing initiatives, and engage in client meetings and industry networking events.
Requirements
- BS in Civil or Architectural Engineering (structural emphasis) from an ABET-accredited program; MS preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of structural engineering experience (may be reduced with MS or SE license).
- Progress toward a Professional Engineer (PE) license (structural designation).
- Proficiency in Bentley RAM, Tekla Structural Designer, and Autodesk Revit preferred.
- Strong understanding of building codes and structural materials (concrete, post-tensioned concrete, steel, masonry, and wood).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
