Civil Engineer Role Overview

This entry to mid-level position presents a unique opportunity to collaborate with public utilities in managing and enhancing water resources while driving company growth through innovative projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support project planning, permitting, and development of water and energy infrastructure projects by coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure detailed plans and specifications align with project objectives and industry best practices by conducting thorough reviews.
  • Conduct field investigations, site assessments, and data collection to inform project development and guarantee accuracy and completeness in project planning and implementation.
  • Provide oversight to ensure quality and compliance throughout the project lifecycle, fostering strong relationships with contractors and stakeholders.
  • Prepare permit applications, technical reports, studies, and project documentation to facilitate timely project progression.
  • Communicate findings, calculations, design details, and recommendations to various stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and team members through clear and concise presentations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0-4 years of experience in civil site or water resources engineering, with a proven track record of delivering results-driven projects.
  • Knowledge of site civil/grading/roadway design is advantageous, but not essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other productivity tools is expected.
  • AUTOCADE/AUTOCADE CIVIL 3D and GIS skills are preferred, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or anticipated, with a strong commitment to professional development.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and technical writing skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Highly motivated and self-driven, with a passion for delivering high-quality projects that meet and exceed client expectations.
