Senior Android Software Engineer for Embedded Systems

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced software engineer to work on our Android-based embedded systems. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the entire Android stack, from the Linux kernel level to the application layer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain Android-based platforms for various embedded devices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, and efficient solutions.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in embedded software development, with a strong focus on Android AOSP.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Android development, including HAL, Android Framework, and System Services.
  • Strong understanding of recent Android versions, features, APIs, and changes.
  • Proficiency in C++, Java, and modifying system-level code in C.
  • Solid experience in Embedded Linux development, including power management, display drivers, and connectivity stacks like Wi-Fi/Bluetooth.
  • Familiarity with low-level system layers and good understanding of Linux kernel internals.
  • Familiarity with Android development tools and workflows.
  • Good grasp of networking protocols: Ethernet, IP, TCP, UDP.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with scripting languages like Bash or Python.
  • Debugging and development experience within the Android Framework layer.
  • Familiarity with the NDK toolchain, building native libraries and components.
  • Linux User Space development experience is a plus; Linux Kernel development experience is a bonus.
