Job Description

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled software engineer to contribute as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend and AI solutions using Python.

The successful candidate should have at least 6 years of experience working in software development, including experience with RESTful backend applications using Python, preferably with Django. They will also need to have experience developing AI applications, front-end development, deployment processes like Docker, CircleCI, AWS, Heroku, and Git.

In addition, the candidate should possess knowledge about clean code, design patterns, customer-centric mindset, and strong client-facing experience. They should also be self-taught and up-to-date with the latest news and technologies related to Backend.

The selected candidate will participate in sprint planning meetings and daily stand-up sessions, create estimates, and plan roadmaps. They will also review the code of other developers, understand the needs of our partners, and come up with solutions for their problems.

To succeed in this role, you'll need to be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, and have good English proficiency. You should also be familiar with UNIX systems and terminal usage.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 6 years of experience working in software development
  • Experience with RESTful backend applications using Python, preferably with Django
  • Experience developing AI applications (genAI apps, RAG, AI integrations)
  • Experience with front-end development and JavaScript (TypeScript, VueJS, or others)
  • Experience with deployment processes like Docker, CircleCI, AWS, Heroku
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience with different databases
  • Knowledge about clean code, design patterns
  • Customer-centric mindset and strong client-facing experience
  • Self-taught
  • Good English proficiency
  • Familiarity with UNIX systems and terminal usage
