Revenue Management System Product Owner Role Summary:

The Revenue Management System Product Owner is responsible for crafting and delivering comprehensive solutions that drive pricing strategy, demand forecasting, and revenue optimization. This role involves overseeing initiatives that span data engineering, machine learning, and user-facing interfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a backlog of features and enhancements spanning data pipelines, predictive models, and RMS user interfaces.
  • Identify and prioritize high-value opportunities to optimize pricing strategies and demand forecasting.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into detailed epics and user stories with clear descriptions, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
  • Own the full delivery lifecycle of features and enhancements, ensuring timely execution, alignment with stakeholders, and readiness for deployment.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering on requirements for data sourcing, integration, and quality.
  • Partner with Data Science to define, deploy, and iterate on ML models and pricing algorithms.
  • Align with UI/UX and front-end teams to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops and planning sessions with business stakeholders.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product success and user adoption.
  • Ensure accurate documentation in Confluence and Jira for themes, epics, and tasks.
  • Coordinate with QA to validate features and ensure delivery meets requirements.
  • Promote continuous iteration based on stakeholder feedback and performance data.
  • Drive change management and support user training for new RMS features.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with process and system changes.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role
  • Strong understanding of data engineering, machine learning, and user-facing interfaces
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into actionable plans
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence
