Job Title: Chief Accounting Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Chief Accounting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting operations, local regulations, and taxes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting local accounting operations, preparing and reviewing the monthly close pack for Brazil and related monthly activities, owning the preparation of accruals, filings, and payments for local tax filings related to AP and AR transactions for LatAm countries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting local accounting operations
  • Preparing and reviewing the monthly close pack for Brazil and related monthly activities
  • Preparation of accruals, filings, and payments for local tax filings related to AP and AR transactions for LatAm countries
  • Month-end close activities for Brazil, including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Maintenance and performance of relevant SOX controls
  • Cross-functional coordination with XFN partners and accounting team to ensure accuracy and timely support

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in an internet advertising company
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong understanding of accounting operations, local regulations, and taxes
  • Prior experience working with and supporting sales, knowledge of advertising agencies in Brazil is a plus
  • Experience with Oracle R12, Salesforce.com, Google Suite or similar systems
  • Strong Excel skills are a must, experience with Tableau, SQL or similar are a plus
  • Public accounting certification and Big 4 or other public accounting experience is preferred
  • Strong proficiency in English, Portuguese. Spanish is a plus
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in a relevant field such as accounting, or equivalent experience
