**Job Title:** Supply Chain Management ExpertJob Description:

This position is pivotal in a major project and involves establishing the supply chain and industrial solution with Category Managers. The Procurement Project Manager (PPM) is responsible for providing efficient and cost-effective value-added purchasing support within the Global Business Unit (GBU).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the project procurement strategy using input from customer's tender and prime contract documents, from the project management plan and project schedule, from project design documentation, proposal documents, and project financial data.
  • Challenge acquisition needs and requirements to promote design to cost analysis with suppliers during the definition phase of the solution.
  • Create work packages, including all required information to enable an RFQ/RFP, and assign them to relevant Category Manger/Category Buyer.
  • Manage the development of the supply chain architecture to meet project needs with support from Regional and Global Category Management.
  • Optimize supply chain costs early in the life cycle to ensure savings are achieved against budget.
  • Play a key role in defining and implementing strategies to meet U.S. Federal Procurement requirements, including offsets, 'Buy America,' and Small Disadvantaged Business.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including Project Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Finance, to ensure the procurement strategy is communicated and well understood.
  • Support the flow of information with Project Management through regular reporting on the status of procurement activity - achievements, issues, and goals.
  • Monitor project material costs and report deviations against the established project baseline.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Procurement Management or ISM certifications.
  • Project Management certification.
  • Experience performing similar activities.
  • Track record of success in a similar role in a relevant business or market.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Project management - planning, time management, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork.
  • Interpersonal skills - ability to excel working in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks while meeting deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
