Student Advisor Job Description

At Varsity College, we are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Student Advisor to join our dynamic team. As a Student Advisor, you will play a crucial role in student recruitment and engagement, working closely with prospective students, parents, and stakeholders to provide exceptional support and guidance throughout the application and registration process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Presentation and Outreach: Deliver engaging presentations at targeted schools, showcasing the benefits of our institution and generating interest and enquiries.
  • Database Collection: Meet monthly targets for collecting school databases to expand our reach and connect with prospective students.
  • Interview and Application Support: Make proactive calls to prospective students, scheduling interviews and providing prompt responses to online and telephonic enquiries. Assist students with the online application process during interviews, securing applications on the spot.
  • Registration and Administration: Support the campus by converting applications to registrations to achieve the annual campus registration target. Maintain accurate daily reports, including call reports and interview booking trackers, and ensure interview forms are completed correctly and applications have valid supporting documentation.
Requirements:
  • Education: National Diploma (NQF6) with 3 years sales experience (preferred) or minimum of National Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with 5 years sales experience.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to deliver a compelling presentation, friendly, tenacious, and target-driven mindset with exceptional organisational abilities, and excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Special Requirements: Driver's license and own vehicle essential.
