Job OverviewThe AB Seaman plays a crucial role in the safe and efficient execution of all well and drilling activities. This position requires active supervision of the drilling crew, ensuring compliance with internal and external governing requirements.Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring adherence to the code of conduct
  • Guaranteeing relevant personnel receive adequate training in emergency situations
  • Maintaining emergency equipment to ensure it is in good working condition and properly configured
  • Reporting non-compliances to direct supervisors
  • Assisting with training, certification, and competence management
  • Participating in meeting activities and assessments
Well Integrity and OperationsThe AB Seaman is responsible for maintaining well integrity at all times, directing drilling operations in accordance with the drilling program, and monitoring well bore conditions.Leadership and SafetyThis position demands visible leadership by spending time in the field and monitoring daily operations. The AB Seaman must provide clear operational guidelines to team members, conduct regular drills and checks, and maintain accurate records and reports.
