Senior Software Engineer Position

Join a talented team of professionals to build cutting-edge software solutions as a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative products.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced software engineer passionate about developing scalable and efficient software systems using Python. Come contribute to the development of our services that power the Snap Store and Charmhub.io marketplaces.

  • Design and implement new features and enhancements from spec to production and ongoing operations at scale.
  • Collaborate remotely with a globally distributed team and contribute to code reviews and technical designs.
  • Develop clean web service APIs to support both CLI and web frontend clients, using Python (and optionally Golang).
Requirements
  • Demonstrated professional proficiency in developing public-facing APIs and web applications using Python.
  • Broad technology base with a bias towards backend code and infrastructure.
  • Strong academic performance in Computer Science, STEM or a similar degree.
  • Comfortable with Ubuntu as a development and deployment platform.
  • Passionate about open source software, Linux, and Web Services at scale.
