Job Title: Senior Risk Manager for Hazardous Goods Operations
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Risk Manager to join our team in Brazil. As a key member of our operations compliance group, you will be responsible for ensuring that our hazardous goods operations meet all applicable regulatory requirements.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with various internal teams, including Amazon Fulfillment Technology, Transportation, Catalog, Classification, Legal, Retail, FBA, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate regulatory risks associated with new products and services.
- Provide end-to-end project management support for complex business and operations projects/initiatives related to hazardous goods transportation.
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve processes and systems.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations or a related field (MBA or Ph.D. preferred).
- Proven experience in program management, including cross-team coordination, project management, and communication across multiple stakeholders.
- Experience driving process improvement with technology in a global role.
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry such as petrochemical, automotive, pharmaceutical, etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex issues concisely.
- Fluency in English and Portuguese, both oral and written.
- Certification and/or experience in Dangerous Goods or regulated hazardous materials compliance.
- Knowledge of data warehouse and SQL is a plus.
