Job Title:

Senior Data Science Architect

Our company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Science Architect to lead the design, development and implementation of our data pipeline architecture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and experience with big data technologies such as Spark and Scala.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable and efficient data pipelines using big data technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency and governance across all layers of the architecture.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes for large-scale data ingestion, transformation and integration.
  • Work closely with data analysts and BI teams to support business reporting and analytics.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles.
  • Proven expertise in Spark (Scala) and Impala within big data environments.
  • Strong experience with ETL design, implementation and optimization.
  • Advanced knowledge of distributed computing and parallel processing.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality frameworks and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in agile, fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken).
