Medical Information Specialist Needed

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Information Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Information Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely medical information to healthcare professionals, consumers, and other external customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. • Respond to unsolicited requests for medical and safety information via various channels such as telephone, email, website, letter, fax, and scientific meetings.
    • Provide labeled and unlabeled medical/safety information responses in accordance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
    • Accurately identify, document, and report adverse events, pregnancy reports, special situation events, and product complaints in a clear and concise manner per government regulations and internal procedures.
    • Ensure tasks are completed within deadlines documented in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Working Practices (WPs).
    • Formulate and provide accurate responses utilizing approved labeling and company standard responses, published literature, and other data.
    • Assist with writing custom medical information responses utilizing this data.
    • Maintain quality in all areas of the job by performing quality checks on Adverse Events, Product Quality Complaints, correspondence, and enquiries logged into Inquiry Handling Systems.
Requirements:
  • Nursing degree (RN/BS/BA/MS) is mandatory.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proofreading, professional telephone etiquette, and empathetic customer service skills.
  • Ability to write in a fluent and grammatically correct manner in the target language for the role.
  • Mother tongue in Brazilian Portuguese, fluent in English.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Strong cognitive abilities, including verbal reasoning, critical thinking, and analytical ability.
