Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Branch Manager to join our Trade Division at Kokstad, KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the overall management of the store, including operational performance assessment, general administration, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the responsibility and accountability of all aspects of the store
- Conduct key operational performance assessments to ensure optimal store performance
- Manage stock control and shrinkages to minimize losses
- Implement effective POS process management to enhance customer experience
- Provide exceptional customer service and satisfaction
- Develop and implement merchandising principles and marketing strategies to drive sales
- Ensure compliance with operations policy and procedure
- Assist in ensuring that sales and expenses are in line with budget
- Monitor and maintain stock indicators to meet company benchmarks
- Manage store profit and ensure efficient use of resources
- Supervise staff and provide guidance on customer service and sales techniques
- Assume branch management responsibilities in the absence of the Branch Manager
Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12 qualification
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office skills
- Valid driver's license
- Dynamic, self-motivated, and professional individual with excellent communication skills
- Planning and time management skills with ability to work under pressure
- Customer service experience with ability to work in a team environment
- Bilingual (English / Zulu) with Afrikaans as an advantage
- Relevant degree or diploma as an advantage
- At least 3 years' experience in the Agricultural Sector in a Retail Management role
- Ability to work outside of normal working hours when necessary
- Ability to work in a corporate environment
