Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior Analytics Engineer to play a central role in shaping our data infrastructure. This individual will design, implement and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Airflow, develop data models across the Medallion Architecture layers to support analytics and reporting, and optimize SQL queries for large datasets in AWS Athena and other relational systems.

  • Design, implement and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Airflow
  • Develop data models across the Medallion Architecture layers to support analytics and reporting
  • Optimize SQL queries for large datasets in AWS Athena and other relational systems
  • Build and maintain dashboards and BI workflows using Metabase
  • Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Analytics teams to define startup metrics and KPIs
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and reproducibility across the data warehouse/lake
  • Establish best practices for data engineering and analytics
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
  • Strong SQL expertise with experience tuning queries and designing efficient schemas
  • Hands-on experience with Airflow for workflow orchestration
  • Familiarity with AWS services, especially Athena, S3 and Glue
  • Experience building analytics dashboards with Metabase or similar BI tools
  • Understanding of Medallion Architecture and layered data pipelines
  • Strong understanding of startup/product metrics and how to translate them into analytics workflows
  • Proficiency in Python for data engineering and ETL tasks
  • Collaborative and able to work cross-functionally with product and business teams
