Staff Analog Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Analog Design Engineer to join our silicon engineering team at Impinj. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing advanced RFID reader ICs.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Collaborate with our team to specify and architect next-generation RFID reader ICs, creating design specifications and review documents.
- Circuit Design: Implement low-power and low-voltage RF and Analog circuits using advanced deep-submicron CMOS technologies.
- Characterization and Testing: Characterize designs in the lab to validate product functionality and performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with digital and software developers to develop an implementation that meets system requirements.
- Education: Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, with 5+ years of experience.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced ability to comprehend RF transceiver system level requirements and translate into circuit level specifications.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Design Experience: Hands-on experience in designing various RF/Analog integrated circuits, such as LNA, Mixer, RF VGAs, PA, VCO, PLL, Regulators, ADC/DAC, etc., in deep sub-micron CMOS technologies.
- Phase Noise Understanding: Thorough understanding of the fundamentals of phase noise generation and mitigation.
- IC Design Tools: Strong knowledge on IC design CAD tools such as Spectre, EMX.
- Physical Layout: A thorough understanding of physical layout requirements.
- Lab Testing: Lab testing skills to evaluate prototype units to design specifications, with software skills for controlling lab equipment to create controlled, accurate, repeatable, and presentable characterization results.
- Communication Skills: Motivated to carry out a wide variety of tasks with clear communication and presentation skills in a dynamic team environment.
The base pay range for this role in Brazil is $170,000 BRL. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties, requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Both market wage data and the mid-point of the pay range is reviewed and used as the starting point for all new hire offers. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
Certain roles at Impinj are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role. US-based employees have access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, and company match among others.
