About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our Big Data Fabric Services team at SAP. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining our Big Data Fabric Services platform, which enables SAP Lines of Business and customers to easily enter the world of Big Data.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable and efficient data processing systems using Apache Spark and other big data technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate our Big Data Fabric Services platform with SAP BTP and HANA Cloud & Data Lakehouse.
- Develop and maintain high-quality code, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure successful delivery of product features.
- Assess and solve complex technical issues, leveraging technical and product skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering.
- Advanced or fluent English.
- Excellent programming skills and knowledge of algorithms, data structures, space, and run-time complexity (Big-O notation).
- Ability to troubleshoot complex software issues.
- Familiarity with design patterns, Clean Code, Continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), Code review, and Test-driven development (TDD).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Java or Golang development.
- Experience with CI/CD.
