Job Description

The Medical Affairs Analyst will play a pivotal role in the efficient management of medical education grants. This position is crucial for enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness within the department.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor the Educational Grant Management System and conduct initial reviews of grant requests for completeness and alignment to industry guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Grants Managers to track routed requests against established targets to ensure approvals do not exceed forecasted values.
  • Process grant requests, including communication of grant decisions to internal and external stakeholders, and issuance of payments to requestors.
  • Maintain a schedule of supported educational events across all Neuroscience molecules.
  • Track outcomes from supported programs.
  • Gather and assist analyze performance metrics under Grants Managers' oversight and communicate results to stakeholders as needed.
  • Prepare presentations for use by Grants Managers and other internal departments as required.
  • Respond to reported problems and work with diverse teams to identify resolutions.
  • Schedule monthly EGRC meetings, distribute review materials prior to the meeting, and prepare presentation materials.
  • Identify potential process improvements related to grant workflow.
  • Update documentation related to IME grant processes and workflow diagrams to ensure business continuity.
  • Communicate regularly with grant requestors regarding status, payment, program materials, and outcomes of supported activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical industries or agency/medical education company environments is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word, is required.
  • Experience working with Pivot Tables, Macros, and/or Visual Basic for Applications is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with publication software, such as Microsoft Publisher or Adobe InDesign, is an asset.
  • Detailed knowledge of FDA and regulatory guidelines for industry support of medical education events, including PhRMA guidelines, OIG, AMA, ACCME, and Sunshine Act regulations, is desired.
  • Understanding of CME/CE outcomes assessments, such as MOOREs and TELMs, is beneficial.
  • Experience working with reporting solutions, like Izenda or SmartSheets, is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of customer management systems, including CyberGrants, Vision Tracker, or CRM systems, is an advantage.
