Category Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Specialist to join our Purchasing area, where you will play a key role in shaping the future of Electrolux's operations. As a Category Specialist, you will be responsible for managing business strategically, developing and retaining strong supplier relationships, and managing operations of data research, analytics, and direct material category strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the business strategically, with the objective to leverage, promote complexity reduction, simplification, modularization, cost performance, and innovation.
• Develop and retain strong supplier relationships.
• Manage relationships/partnerships with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders.
• Manage operations of data research, analytics, and direct material category strategies.
• Support the development of annual budgets and 5-year strategic plans for the Business Area, identifying opportunities and risks.
• Generate initiatives and projects to deliver productivity targets.
• Lead internal and external analysis (industry & supplier) as a member of a cross-functional sourcing team.
• Provide indirect and collaborative leadership to the IndOp purchasing teams to ensure on-time project execution & implementation of category strategies.
• Assist in the implementation and expansion of payment terms.
• Evaluate and propose actions and initiatives around simplification and complexity reduction, participating in negotiations and use creative ways to drive value by the utilization of Value Based Sourcing.
• Support Program Management on new model launches and platform refresh programs.
• Work with the Global Category and Business Area Purchasing to build and deploy a category strategy that aligns all Business Areas requirements.

About You

You have:

• Bachelor's degree (preferably Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical) or Economics).
• Solid experience with strategic sourcing, category management, or equivalent.
• Experience with management and development of cost reductions/value creation solutions.
• Knowledge of management of strategic supplier relationships (relationship building, performance, development, and integration).
• Advanced English (any other language is an asset).
