We are seeking a highly skilled Subsea Control Room Operator to join our team at SBM Offshore. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our FPSO vessels.
Responsibilities- Start up, operate, monitor, and shut down processes and utility systems, ensuring compliance with operating requirements.
- Monitor and maintain process parameters, including level, flow, temperature, and pressure, to optimize production and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot issues and identify problems to maximize sales quality and delivery volume.
- Ensure accurate production reporting and submit daily or as required by the company and client.
- Implement and enforce O&M Contractor Operations Management System policies and procedures, including isolation standards and PTW.
- Carry out all operations in a safe and environmentally sound manner, reporting all discharges, leaks, spills, injuries, and incidents immediately.
- Assist maintenance operations by applying/removing isolations as required and supervise the operation of the PTW system.
- Advise maintenance personnel on hazards of plant and equipment and maintain clear and precise communications during maintenance operations.
- Coordinate activities and resources across teams or shifts, contributing to training and assessment of personnel.
- Record and report on personnel development/appraisals and competence assessments as required.
- 4 years minimum in Hydrocarbon processing operations with 1 year as CCRO and appropriate mix of operational and supervisory experience.
- Experience working as Subsea Control Room Operator.
- Offshore Personal Survival, Management of Major Emergencies, Medical certificates.
- Good level of troubleshooting and operations knowledge, including interpretation of P&IDs and C&E charts.
- Extensive knowledge of offshore FPSO operations, including Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and Safety.
- Good working knowledge of DCS and F&G systems operation.
- Medically fit with offshore International standards such as ENG1 or equivalent.
- Conscientious, flexible, versatile, and determined, with assertive and positive communication and performance.
- Good safety and supervisory leadership skills, with clear understanding of personnel behavioral and team issues.
- Flexible in applying different approaches to changing work demands.
- High standard of technical and professional knowledge as defined by competencies.
- Good knowledge of DCS/SCADA systems and some knowledge of cargo handling and marine utility systems where appropriate for the position.
- Practical familiarity with standard 'Office' software package and operation and use of Internet and electronic mail system.
