As an Anesthesia Technician, you will provide crucial support to anesthesia providers during surgical procedures. Your role will involve maintaining and troubleshooting equipment, performing various tests, and ensuring the smooth operation of the anesthesia care team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in setting up supplies and placing lines for arterial blood gas analysis, blood coagulation testing, and serum glucose testing.
- Maintain equipment and perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Document damaged equipment and report issues to the relevant authorities.
- Transport equipment and supplies to off-site locations as required.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Less than 1 year of experience in a related field
- Critical thinking skills for triaging tasks in high-pressure situations
- Knowledge of medical terminology and sterile techniques
- Understanding of patient rights and HIPAA laws
- Effective time management skills
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification
