A data engineer is responsible for designing, building, testing, and maintaining cloud-based applications and related services using Microsoft Azure. This involves creating and enhancing data solutions for seamless data delivery, collecting, parsing, managing, and analyzing large datasets.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience building and optimizing data pipelines and data lakes/warehouses in a cloud environment, preferably Azure. A strong understanding of core concepts, including Azure data storage, Azure compute, data connections, APIs, data bricks, data factory, data lake, and Azure Synapse on cloud is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Pipeline Design: Designing, building, testing, and maintaining cloud applications and related services using Microsoft Azure.
  • Data Solution Creation: Creating and enhancing data solutions for seamless data delivery, responsible for collecting, parsing, managing, and analyzing large datasets.
  • Complex Application Development: Designing, developing, automating, and supporting complex applications to extract, transform, and load data.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience building and optimizing data pipelines and data lakes/warehouses in a cloud environment, preferably Azure.
  • Understanding: Strong understanding of core concepts, including Azure data storage, Azure compute, data connections, APIs, data bricks, data factory, data lake, and Azure Synapse on cloud.
  • Knowledge: Good knowledge of SSIS, ETL design/development (nice to have), SQL – Joins/co-related queries/sub-queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, view (nice to have), and MSBI Stack (nice to have).
