Finance Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Support Specialist to join our international team.

  • As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing expert support to our financial teams worldwide, facilitating their operations, and enabling them to grow.

You will be handling local Japanese merchant inquiries, ensuring seamless local services, and supporting global inquiries. Your ultimate goal is to help our merchants use our financial products to their full potential and advise our product teams on how to address development resources effectively.

Our team thrives on shared success, operates 24/7 across time zones using a follow-the-sun principle, and values extensive knowledge of banking processes behind payments.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Be the primary point of contact for merchants and commercial teams regarding financial-related issues.
  2. Educate and advise merchants' financial teams on leveraging our platform, products, and features for maximum value.
  3. Receive and analyze merchant pain points, working closely with Adyen's Finance Product and Development teams to improve or build new products that facilitate merchant operations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Banking or Fintech environment with exposure to financial products (issuing, business accounts, capital/business financing).
  • Strong analytical skills, interest in financial products for the payments industry, and ability to get familiar with internal accounting systems.
  • Strong commercial acumen, direct contact with merchants, quick informed decision-making under pressure, and prioritization based on urgency and necessity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and English, with proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Previous experience in uncertain environments with a track record of successfully dealing with ambiguity.
