Job Opportunity:

This role offers the chance to gain knowledge and skills within a particular area or discipline.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing work assignments under the direction of a supervisor, manager or senior-level associate. This may involve working on an alternating (i.e., every other semester) or temporary basis, attending school or vocational training during periods of non-work.

The ideal candidate will develop knowledge and skills within a non-technical discipline such as finance, human resources, marketing or customer service. Typical duties may fall into one of these areas:

  • Finance
  • Human Resources
  • Marketing
  • Customer Service

Responsibilities in each of these areas include:

Finance:

  • Assisting with basic bookkeeping or financial tracking
  • Assisting with expense reporting and reimbursements
  • Supporting budget development and tracking by gathering relevant data and creating spreadsheets

Human Resources:

  • Assisting with recruiting activities such as scheduling interviews or posting job listings
  • Helping with onboarding new associates
  • Assisting with internal communications, set up and tracking of training sessions

Marketing:

  • Assisting with management of social media accounts
  • Helping with content creation such as blog posts or social media updates
  • Supporting marketing campaigns with research or organizing promotional material

Customer Service:

  • Assisting with response to customer inquiries
  • Helping with surveys, feedback collection or customer relationship management
  • Supporting sales teams by managing customer information
  • Assisting with planning and execution of company events

In addition to the above responsibilities, the candidate may also help with general project coordination and progress tracking, assist with research and compiling information for reports and presentations, and compile and organize information in support of general work group or project activity.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, the candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, generally less than 2 years' experience in the area of responsibility, and possess strong communication and organizational skills.
