About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Optimization Specialist to join our team at Bayer. As a key member of our Supply Chain Intelligence Area, you will play a critical role in enhancing customer experience, operational efficiency, and decision-making through the integration and analysis of key components such as Master Data, Performance metrics, Optimization strategies, and Legal Entity Integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Distribution Network Optimization Operation: Responsible for optimizing the distribution networks of the countries and country clusters in the LATAM region, for Crop Protection and Seeds Business, aligned with the Global Distribution Network Design strategies and guidelines.
  • Model Scenarios: Model scenarios for logistics network optimization, considering multiple variables such as routes, distribution centers, transportation resources, network alternatives, etc., while balancing operational efficiency and service levels.
  • Supply Chain Strategy Simulation and Analysis: Develop simulations and analysis by mathematical modeling, network modeling, and decision analysis methods to drive business strategies as well as support global optimization initiatives in e.g., Transportation, Distribution, CP, and Seed Networks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Track results of the proposed distribution network and use results to improve models robustness, identifying new variables or constraints to be added to the model logic.
  • Process Optimization: Identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and waste in the supply chain processes, implementing improvement initiatives and lean methodologies to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Collaboration and Cross-Functional Leadership: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, logistics, and sales, to align supply chain objectives with overall business goals.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Experience: Solid experience in Supply Chain, proven experience in operations research, and proven experience in modeling.
  • Skills: Solid analytical skills, proficient in Excel, and fluent in Portuguese and English.
  • Operational Research Knowledge: Knowledge of operational research methods and tools.
