**Job Summary**


The World Bank Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Operations Officer to join its Agribusiness and Forestry Upstream and Advisory program in the Latin America & Caribbean (LAC) Region.


**Key Responsibilities**



  • Enable investment opportunities in the Agribusiness and Forestry space by incubating high-impact projects and initiatives.
  • Enhance investment outcomes through Upstream and Advisory projects that increase the development impact of IFC investments.
  • Improve investment conditions in the Agribusiness and Forestry sectors by leading and collaborating with teams across IFC and the WBG.
  • Support business development efforts and ensure high level of client satisfaction.
  • Work closely with sector and country leads to foster cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Ensure a high quality of the team's operations through a focus on project design.
  • Engage with and establish partnerships with thought leaders across the World Bank Group.
  • Collaborate with the Partnerships department to contribute to donor engagement strategy.
  • Spot trends and technologies that can increase development impact.
  • Disseminate and absorb knowledge across the regional industry department and global teams.

**Requirements**



  • Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Agribusiness, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10 – 15 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience developing solutions for private sector clients in Agribusiness and/or Forestry sectors.
  • Familiarity with decarbonization and resource efficiency practices.
  • Ability to support engagements with private sector clients and governments.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work on several assignments simultaneously.
  • Outstanding analytical, creative problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills in English are required; proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred.
  • Genuine dedication to development and to the World Bank Group and IFC's mission.

**Work Environment**


The selected candidate will be based in Sao Paulo, Brazil and is expected to frequently visit other countries where clients are based.
