Cloud Service Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled developer to join our team and contribute to the development of cloud-based services. Our platform, Ubuntu, is widely used in breakthrough initiatives such as public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation, and IoT.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable web services, ensuring high-quality software development, and collaborating with a globally distributed team. Key areas of interest include API design, database performance, multi-region service delivery, fuzzing, tracing, and next-generation DevOps practices.

This role involves writing high-quality software, designing APIs, writing tests, building reliable applications, displaying technical leadership, debugging issues, contributing to documentation, and discussing contributions across teams.

To succeed in this position, you will need to have a strong academic track record, proficiency in Python and/or Go, experience with relational and non-relational databases, continuous integration, scalable web services, Linux, and excellent interpersonal skills.

In addition to the above requirements, experience with container tech, build systems, cross-compilation, hyperscale public clouds, private clouds, designing and running distributed systems, performance engineering, and security would be highly desirable.
