Role Overview

The Lead Project Scheduler will be accountable for proficiently executing a variety of tasks to a high standard and supporting a diverse range of projects of varying scales and complexities.

This role involves managing assignments of different sizes, depending on the intricacy of the project. The individual may function as part of a larger team or serve as the primary day-to-day liaison with the client.

The role will involve establishing the overall success criteria for the project, which includes time, cost, technical and performance parameters, project governance, planning, processes, and systems to be utilized throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidates should ideally possess experience in the Oil and Gas industry, with a comprehensive understanding of all project aspects, including Civil-Structural and Electro-Mechanical Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with essential stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely updates on the project's engineering, procurement, and construction phases, which are critical to the project's success.
  • Preparing and maintaining the project Basis of Schedule.
  • Establishing and managing the project master schedule for the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Applying resource loading to develop optimal crew/staffing plans.
  • Calculating and managing Earned Value KPIs and progress tracking with S curves.
  • Learning and implementing the scheduling specifications of the owner.
  • Coordinating project progress tracking with the General Contractor throughout all stages of the value chain.
  • Ensuring project schedule activities are coded according to the project work breakdown structure and interfacing with control systems for progress/forecast updates and analysis.
  • Establishing the project critical path and continuously analyzing and reporting throughout the project.
  • Incorporating any necessary scope changes and trends into the project schedule.
  • Analyzing impacts and deviations and proposing mitigation measures.
  • Providing clients and internal teams with weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly reporting inputs of planned versus actual performance and any forecast mitigation strategies.
  • Adhering to relevant Owner policies and procedures while operating within legal and regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with the MS Office Suite (Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Primavera P6.
  • Fluency in English.
