About the Role

This role will support the daily financial management of assigned business units within EDPR's EU Finance team. As a key member of our finance team, you will analyze, prepare, and execute financial processes to ensure the financial viability of projects. You will work closely with the EU Finance Direction to implement and manage financial structures, develop financial models, and engage with local teams on new projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the EU Finance Direction in implementing and managing financial structures for projects and companies, aligning with objectives such as supporting funding scenarios and developing sensitivity analysis.
  • Develop skills in financing solutions across various platforms and engage local teams in new projects.
  • Monitor the finance structure evolution at project stages, from internal analysis to approval and implementation.
  • Manage scheduling activities related to the financial area, including long-term funding, bridge financing, equity, and hedging.
  • Maintain updated relations with financial institutions and negotiate with them when necessary.
  • Assist with gathering and presenting necessary information for shareholders.
  • Ensure general financial management of assigned business units.
  • Perform financial activities based on systems and processes under internal control.
  • Perform cash flow forecasts to predict funding needs and implement measures to mitigate deviations from budget or forecast.
  • Supervise, evaluate, and approve cash requests from assigned business units, in coordination with the Corporate Treasury Department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics; an MBA is preferred.
  • English language proficiency at C1 level or equivalent.
  • More than 2-3 years of experience in financial or investment departments in medium or large-sized companies or groups.
  • Experience in financial modeling, analysis, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of project finance contracts and ability to work in teams, adapting to various situations and priorities.
