Chief Data Architect

We are seeking a senior data architect to lead data strategy and architecture for a high-impact startup.
- Design and build modern data platforms using the Microsoft ecosystem.
- Develop scalable pipelines with Azure Data Factory.
- Optimize data performance using Delta/Parquet, partitioning, and Spark.
- Model data into easy-to-use structures (star schema, dimensional modeling).
- Ensure governance and security with Purview, RBAC, ACLs, and related frameworks.
- Automate deployments with CI/CD for data pipelines.
- 15+ years in data engineering/architecture (Principal-level).
- Deep Microsoft expertise: Fabric, Synapse, OneLake (1+ year).
- Hands-on experience:
- Azure Data Factory (2+ years)
- Delta/Parquet optimization, Spark (5+ years)
- Dimensional modeling/star schema (5+ years)
- Data governance/security (3+ years)
- CI/CD pipelines for data (2+ years)
- Collaborate with engineering teams and business stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions.
