Technical Software Engineer Role

Job Description:

This role involves designing and implementing high-performing, scalable enterprise-grade applications. You will work as a technical reference of the team, ensuring product quality and best practices are maintained.

As part of a talented software team, you will work on mission-critical applications for big customers like Netflix, Amazon, Nike, Facebook, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guarantee product quality and implement best practices as a technical referent of the team
  • Coach other team members and new hires to improve their skills
  • Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
  • Write reusable, testable, and efficient code that adheres to industry standards
  • Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications that meet business requirements
  • Work with micro frontends to deliver seamless user experiences
  • Implement security and data protection measures to safeguard sensitive information
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in software development with a focus on Javascript applications
  • Strong proficiency in HTML and CSS, with knowledge of frontend technologies such as React.js, Webpack, Redux, and css modules
  • Understanding of asynchronous programming principles and its quirks and workarounds
  • Experience with Typescript is an asset, but not required
  • Knowledge of Node.js and frameworks available for it, including Next.js
  • Understanding of Server-side Rendering (SSR) and Client-side Rendering (CSR), including their differences and advantages
  • User authentication and authorization expertise, including integration of multiple systems, servers, and environments
  • Ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
  • Fundamental understanding of design principles behind scalable applications
  • Experience with automated testing platforms and unit tests
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is a must, with Spanish being an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • AWS knowledge is essential, with NoSql knowledge being desirable
