Veterinary Affairs Team Lead

A key role within Colgate-Palmolive, the Professional Consulting Veterinarian Supervisor is part of the Veterinary Affairs Team (PVA) and is responsible for leading the team in executing the integrated program to strengthen our engagement with the Veterinary Community.

The role is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic rationale, as well as guiding the team to identify, engage, visit, and build relationships with veterinarians, animal scientists, veterinary and animal science schools.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Manage the team of PVCs who conduct visits to veterinarians, ensuring they are well-trained and informed about the products;
  • Scheduling: Create and maintain visits schedules to optimize coverage and efficiency;
  • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and professional development to the team to ensure they are knowledgeable about the latest product information and effective presentation techniques;
  • Strategy Implementation: Develop and execute strategies to effectively promote and present technical products to veterinarians, aligning with broader company goals;
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between the team and upper management, relaying important information and updates;
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and evaluate the performance of the team, providing feedback and implementing improvements where necessary;
  • Resource Allocation: Ensure that the team has the necessary materials and resources for successful visits;
  • Relationship Building: Foster and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and stakeholders;
  • Reporting: Generate, analyze and provide detailed reports on the results, activities and outcomes of the team;
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends and competitive products, providing insights to the team to enhance their presentations and strategies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine;
  • Master's degree, residency, or postgraduate studies within veterinary area;
  • Experience in leadership role;
  • Experience in the pet market;
  • Driver's license B;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google tools.
