We are seeking an accomplished Process Engineer to lead the development of innovative process designs and specifications for air separation plant projects.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze cost-benefit analysis of various process solutions and select optimal design cases for systems and equipment.
  • Perform detailed process simulations, write comprehensive process specifications, and provide accurate process data to support compressor, air chiller, adsorption system, distillation column, cold box, control valve, relief valve, manual valve, pump, heat exchanger, tank, pipeline measurement equipment, analyzer, silencer, cooling tower, and other air separation equipment components.
  • Develop and refine Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Heat and Material Balances (HMB).
  • Participate in P&IDs development, HAZOP analysis, plant commissioning and start-up, technical risk assessment, safety and environmental evaluation, and documentation. ASU troubleshooting and investigations also included.
  • Ensure successful project completion on schedule and within budget requirements.
  • Review and validate vendor equipment proposals from a technical perspective.
  • Verify compliance with design criteria and standards by reviewing and checking project-specific drawings and data sheets.
  • Collaborate in the development and implementation of process performance test specifications for air separation plants.
  • Interface effectively with customers and suppliers as necessary.
  • Stay current with advancements in process technologies.
  • Maintain awareness of state-of-the-art industrial gas tools, design practices, methods, and concepts.
  • Contribute to the development of departmental best practices, processes, procedures, tools, standard specifications, and data sheets.
  • Collect and maintain 'Lessons Learned' logs to aid the company's continuous improvement efforts.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Chemical Engineering and relevant experience in Cryogenic Air Separation and/or Non-Cryogenic Adsorption Air Separation industries. They should have expertise in developing process flow diagrams and heat balances, as well as knowledge of process equipment, line sizing, material selection, and utility requirement calculation.

This role may require up to 20% travel time.
