We are seeking a skilled Second Cook to join our kitchen team at Hilton Worldwide, Inc.

Job Summary:

The Second Cook will be responsible for the production and organization of the mise en place of the kitchen, assisting the First Cook in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce the Mise en Place Kitchen, ensuring all ingredients and supplies are properly stored and organized.
  • Set up the ordered for sales points, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages.
  • Ensure the organization and hygiene in the Kitchen, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Prepare food using appropriate techniques of cooking under the guidance of the First Cook.
  • Store and check the validity of food, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Assist other departments whenever necessary, providing support to colleagues and ensuring seamless operations.
  • In shift changes, transmit the information to turn and seek previous shift information, ensuring continuity and accuracy.
  • Perform such other duties assigned by the supervisor, contributing to the overall success of the kitchen team.
Requirements:
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, ensuring effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
  • Attention and concentration, maintaining focus and accuracy in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work in teams, building strong relationships with colleagues and contributing to a positive team culture.
  • Interest in developing the area/company, demonstrating a commitment to growth and improvement.
  • Ability to work under pressure, remaining calm and composed in challenging situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Training in Food, with a focus on cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Previous experience in industrial kitchen, with a strong understanding of kitchen procedures and protocols.
  • Basic knowledge of food hygiene, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
