
Packaging Innovator

As a champion of growth and expansion opportunities, this role plays a key role in driving new product development and innovation. The individual will be responsible for packaging development, feasibility assessment, and application of commercially available solutions to deliver new products.
This professional will work closely with internal and external partners to stay abreast of the latest technology and trends within their portfolio activity. They will participate on cross-functional teams and provide technical expertise to ensure that key project objectives are met.
Key responsibilities include bringing curiosity and bias for action to assigned projects, contributing packaging technology options that fulfill consumer needs through product design to enable business growth goals. Additionally, they will collaborate with procurement to identify external partnerships, demonstrate creativity in approach to identifying and evaluating new packaging materials, and provide expertise in areas of package design and material selection.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainability and an interest in packaging solutions that maximize recyclability and minimize negative environmental impacts. They will also possess expertise in multiple packaging disciplines, including rigid plastics, dispensing systems, flexible materials, closures, manufacturing line requirements, and plastic molding techniques.
This role requires strategic thinking and action to effectively navigate complex and ambiguous situations. The successful candidate will apply product development methods and tools, such as prioritization matrices, value mapping, FMEA, and experimental design, to deliver against aligned product performance criteria.
Other responsibilities include leading outside vendors and design partners, staying abreast of emerging technologies and trends, collaborating with project managers and cross-functional teams, developing validation and line qualification plans, performing lab tests, and documenting results in technical reports.
Requirements include a bachelor's degree in Packaging or relevant engineering disciplines, a minimum of 8 years of packaging development experience, or a master's degree with at least 4 years of relevant work experience. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in Brazil.

- Possess a passion for sustainability and an interest in packaging solutions that maximize recyclability, recycled content, virgin plastic reduction, and minimizes negative environmental impacts of our products and materials selection.
- Expertise in multiple packaging disciplines such as rigid plastics, dispensing systems, flexible materials, closures, manufacturing line requirements and plastic molding techniques.
This is a full-time position with regular business hours, Monday-Friday. Remote work is available once a week for eligible employees. Travel up to 15% and domestic relocation may be required.
