**Job Title:** 508 Compliance SpecialistSpecPro Sustainment & Environmental is seeking a highly skilled 508 Compliance Specialist to provide project delivery business process support services to the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Caribbean District. This role involves quality assurance/quality control auditing for the South Atlantic Division (SAD) of USACE.The 508 Compliance Specialist will work closely with the rest of the program support team to ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and mission success by supporting the USACE SAD in delivering quality public infrastructure on time and within budget.This position requires strong knowledge of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, including digital content accessibility standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for auditing digital assets, remediating non-compliance issues, and providing guidance to teams to create accessible content.Key Responsibilities:
  • Auditing digital assets for compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act
  • Remediating non-compliance issues to ensure digital content meets accessibility standards
  • Providing guidance to teams on creating accessible content
  • Supporting the USACE SAD in delivering quality public infrastructure on time and within budget
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong background with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act
  • Ability to adapt to changing regulations and trends
  • Ability to identify root causes, develop solutions, and implement corrective measures
  • Demonstrates proactivity and takes ownership of daily responsibilities and projects
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
  • Commitment to superior quality and accuracy
  • Extremely responsive and customer-focused; appropriate follow-up and follow-through
  • Familiarity with survey tools and software is highly desired
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 or similar software
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, Accounting, or a related field
  • Equivalent experience may be considered
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with compliance auditing
  • Strong knowledge of the Rehabilitation Act is preferred
  • Familiarity with USACE Engineering Regulations is preferred
