Chief Software Engineer

This role involves overseeing a team of engineers and the technical portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing distributed teams, organizing processes, and mentoring colleagues to help them achieve their professional goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a distributed team of engineers and its technical portfolio
- Organizing and leading team processes to achieve objectives
- Conducting one-on-one meetings with team members
- Identifying and measuring team health indicators
- Interacting with a vibrant community
- Reviewing code produced by other engineers
- Representing the company at conferences
- Mentoring and growing direct reports
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in software delivery, Python development experience, and understanding of machine learning principles. They should also have experience designing and implementing MLOps solutions, as well as hands-on experience with machine learning libraries and tools.
Requirements:
- Proven professional experience in software delivery
- Professional Python development experience
- Understanding of machine learning principles
- Experience designing and implementing MLOps solutions
- Hands-on experience with machine learning libraries and tools
Preferred Skills:
- Building highly automated machine learning solutions
- Experience with container technologies and public clouds
- Working knowledge of cloud computing
- Passionate about software quality and testing
- Experience working on distributed teams and open-source projects
