About the Position
  • Plan, organize, and manage library processes/services through effective librarianship methods.
  • Promote actions aimed at forming critical readers and wholesome citizens.

Responsibilities
  1. Organize and catalog the library's book collection in an efficient manner.
  2. Provide assistance and guidance to users about the library system.
  3. Participate in the planning of reading programs and cultural events that foster interest in reading.
  4. Maintain the library's collection by ensuring it is up-to-date and accurate.
  5. Utilize library techniques to process the collection effectively.
  6. Prepare statistics on library services for analysis and improvement.
  7. Research and propose new interactive media to develop an interest in reading among diverse age groups.
  8. Manage the collection system with precision and accuracy.
  9. Conduct regular inventory of the collection according to a predefined schedule.
  10. Monitor library checkouts and inform students and teachers about the need to return borrowed books.
  11. Research and survey collections in English, Portuguese, and Spanish for acquisition purposes.
  12. Organize books by age group for easy access.
  13. Coordinate Book Club procedures as requested by the supervisor.
  14. Assist in Middle Years coordination management for elective classes.
  15. Adapt elective classes for students with special educational needs.
  16. Supervise homework hours for Middle Years students from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
  17. Teach Book club ECA classes to promote literacy skills.
