About the Role

The Assistant/Associate Director of Student Engagement is a key member of the Moravian University team, responsible for coordinating a vibrant campus engagement program. This role requires a genuine passion for working with and supporting students in their academic, professional, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Student Engagement Program
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive student engagement strategy
    • Collaborate with student organizations and clubs to plan and execute events
    • Provide training and guidance to student leaders
  • Advise Student Government
    • Support the Moravian Activities Council (MAC) in planning and implementing events
    • Assist with the coordination of MAC's planning for large-scale events
    • Coordinate and implement ongoing training for the MAC executive board
  • Provide Support to Student Leaders
    • Provide ongoing support and development for student leaders in MAC and USG
    • Meet with students planning events to provide assistance with event details, budgeting, and advertising
  • Manage Student Clubs and Organizations
    • Provide training and guidance to club and organization advisors
    • Manage compliance trainings and records for club and organization advisors
    • Serve as a resource to student organizations
  • Advise the Campus Yearbook
  • Conduct Assessments and Evaluations
    • Regularly assess student programming and other student involvement efforts and activities
  • Lead University-Wide Events
    • Lead efforts in the planning and execution of University-wide fests, including Fall Fest and Spring Fest
  • Manage Online Fundraising Platform
    • Manage Crowd Change, the online fundraising process for clubs and organizations
  • Develop and Manage Social Media
    • Develop and manage the Student Engagement social media account
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree in a related field preferred
  • Experience advising Student Government strongly preferred
  • Related experience in student engagement on a University campus
  • Well-defined oral and written communication skills
  • High energy and a commitment to student development
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, Google apps, and social media platforms
