Key Responsibilities
  • Continuously monitor and optimize CICS system performance to ensure seamless operation.
  • Manage and configure CICS regions, including definitions, tranclasses, TDQs, TSQs, programs, and more.
  • Investigate and resolve critical incidents related to the CICS environment, utilizing tools like IPCS, Abend-AID, and Trace for dump analysis and error tracing.
  • Plan and execute CICS updates, version upgrades, and migrations to maintain system integrity.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to ensure technical alignment and support.
  • Develop and maintain JCL, REXX, and CLIST scripts for automation and efficiency.
  • Document operational procedures and changes to ensure knowledge sharing and best practices.
Desired Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting CICS environments on z/OS platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and RACF for efficient system management.
  • Familiarity with high-availability, scalable, and contingency-driven environments for optimal system performance.
  • Strong analytical skills for diagnosis and troubleshooting, focusing on resolving complex issues.
  • Effective communication skills across technical and functional teams for successful collaboration.
