The Loss Prevention Specialist will be based on-site at Amazon's Sort Center Operations in Cajamar/SP.
This role is responsible for securing people, assets, and information by implementing, leading, and managing the Security & Loss Prevention program locally.
Key responsibilities include conducting investigations related to theft, workplace violence, incident management, and physical security of the building.
The role also leads the on-site security structure, ensuring efficient and effective security services and asset protection—including people, facilities, equipment, data, analytics, and intellectual property.
The Loss Prevention Specialist is a key member of the operations team and collaborates closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to uphold security standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage security team contracts;
- Enhance, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), enabling performance improvements to achieve desired results on time and as planned;
- Lead internal and external theft and fraud investigations, conduct interviews when necessary;
- Effectively handle security incidents, including potential and actual workplace violence, according to policy, and conduct incident response plan testing;
- Ensure team members understand, align their performance and actions with, and can clearly articulate the organization's and department's vision and values;
- Develop business cases that secure necessary approvals, financial, and technical resources, and management support to implement desired changes;
- Recruit, hire, develop, retain individuals who elevate the performance of the security services organization, when necessary;
- Collaborate with multiple teams, influence key stakeholders effectively.
Basic Qualifications:
- Complete Bachelor degree;
- Experience in loss prevention activities, asset protection, property security;
- Experience in logistics operations, industry, manufacturing environments, interaction with different stakeholders;
- Intermediate English skills (spoken written communication);
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel;
- Availability to work flexible hours/shifts, including weekends holidays;
- Domestic travel availability: 5-10% per year.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Leadership experience, management guidance to team members as needed;
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma concepts; certification desired;
- Knowledge of data handling for decision-making, experience using databases querying analysis such as SQL MySQL Access exception-based reporting tools;
- Experience in warehouse distribution center operations;
- Interviewing interrogation experience desired Wicklander-Zulawski certification plus;
- Strong analytical skills, experience in performance-based management action-oriented approaches project management effective problem-solving.
