Job SummaryWe're seeking a highly skilled Senior UI Programmer to join our Fortnite Gameplay UI team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing impactful UI systems that enhance the player experience.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with artists, designers, and other programmers to ensure UI meets aesthetic and functional requirements
- Write robust, extendable, and maintainable code for UI systems
- Architect and plan new UI systems to support player experiences
- Optimize and fix bugs in existing systems
- Integrate backend and gameplay systems to support the player experience
- Contribute ideas toward all aspects of game production and development
- Collaborate with cross-discipline teams on cutting-edge features that support player experiences across Fortnite
- 5+ years of experience developing games with demonstrated ability to manage feature development independently
- 2+ years of experience in a senior programmer role
- Exceptional C++ programming skills
- Experience developing UI features for games across multiple platforms
- Experience working on live-service games with a regular release cadence
- Interest in social, accessibility, and gameplay-adjacent areas of game development
- Passion for games and great user experiences
- Keen analytical mind and mature problem-solving skills
- Unreal Engine development experience preferred
