Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary:

Leads the manufacturing engineering team in achieving high efficiency, integrity, and enthusiasm. This position directs technicians on their assigned lines to observe machine and line performance, determine necessary steps for optimal operation, and implement continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Strives for excellence in all endeavors.

• Contributes proactively as a member of the management team, focused on continuous improvement at all times.

• Directs technicians in observing machine and line performance and provides guidance on optimizing efficiency.

• Trains technicians and assistants in equipment maintenance, programming, and data creation.

• Collaborates with supervisors, engineers, and other teams to optimize processes and yields, creating procedures for continued operational excellence.

• Provides expertise and direction on machine adjustments, repairs, and demand-maintenance activities.

• Manages technician duties when absent due to vacation, illness, or training, performing duties when critical needs arise.

• Assists engineers in determining optimal process performance through I.R. reflow profiles, wave soldering, screen printing, designing tooling, and suggesting design for manufacturing.

• Ensures data integrity by completing regular backups on all lines.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

• Ability to analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

• Advanced PC skills, including software packages, and ability to write simple correspondence.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and draw and interpret graphs.
Additional:

• Advanced knowledge of SMT processes;

• Knowledge of DEK, KOHYOUNG, NXT, KIC PROFILE, NEXIM machines;

• Strong communication, leadership, business analysis, process development, administration, and management skills;

• Ability to work with mathematical and statistical concepts, collect data, and interpret technical information;
• Ability to prioritize and take precise action to solve problems;
