Quality Control and Improvement Engineer

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the Quality Control process, ensuring the effective monitoring of quality operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and complying with the Quality- and Sampling Plan, controlling the manufacturing process, and monitoring and analyzing quality parameters of finished and semi-finished tobacco products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and comply with the Quality- and Sampling Plan.
  • Control the manufacturing process and halt production in case of significant quality defects.
  • Monitor and analyze quality parameters of finished and semi-finished tobacco products.
  • Manage rework activities, including blocking materials/products, handling waste/rejects, and proposing corrective actions.
  • Prepare and analyze quality control reports.
  • Plan and organize the work schedule for the quality control team and provide support in unusual situations.
  • Implement product specification changes in collaboration with QA Specialist and Production.
  • Assure the continuous operation and maintenance of the measuring equipment and Quality Data systems.
  • Coordinate laboratory work, conduct cross-checks with R&D/QA, and manage related training sessions.
  • Oversee key industrial robustification processes, including change management and disaster recovery in quality control.

Requirements:

  • First degree of vocational or academic studies of technology, engineering, or IT sciences.
  • Fluency in Serbian and good knowledge of English.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in PC skills, especially MS Office and MS Excel.
  • Knowledge of Power BI tools is advantageous.
  • Experience in a similar role is advantageous.
