We are seeking a highly skilled Customs Classification Specialist to join our team. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for accurately classifying products according to the Harmonized Trade System (HTS) and Common Nomenclature of Mercosur (NCM).
Your primary focus will be on identifying vital information for tax and customs classification, capturing it from systems or colleagues, analyzing and collaborating in the classification of goods according to general rules of interpretation of the Harmonized System, supervising and controlling customs classification processes, complying with customs regulations for tax classification purposes, staying updated on changes in customs laws and regulations related to tax classification, managing classification decisions, and connecting with customs authorities to ensure compliance.
Requirements- Proven experience in customs classification.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering or trade, legal or related fields.
- Excellent language skills in Spanish and English.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with customs/ERP IT systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
