Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a seasoned Compliance and Fraud Investigation Manager to enhance our team. The ideal candidate will oversee the integrity line, conduct thorough internal investigations, and ensure adherence to local laws and regulatory standards across our operations in the Latam region. This role demands a robust background in fraud investigations and compliance, along with the capability to operate independently and effectively under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the integrity line, serving as a compliance channel for reporting potential violations.
  • Plan and execute internal investigations on reported concerns, focusing on fraud, corruption, conflicts of interest, unethical conduct, discrimination, and harassment.
  • Facilitate Ethics Committee meetings, present investigation findings, and ensure the implementation of the Committee's recommendations.
  • Enhance the whistleblower system to meet regulatory standards and effectively address reported issues.
  • Develop and deliver training on the whistleblower system for employees, onboarding sessions for new hires, and workshops for relevant departments.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and records of investigations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.
  • Engage in compliance site visits, perform compliance checks, and liaise with local units to ensure adherence to compliance controls.
  • Uphold confidentiality and safeguard information obtained during investigations in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Legal Studies, Compliance, Finance, Audit, or related fields.
  • 4-8 years of experience in internal investigations, particularly with a focus on fraud.
  • Preferred: Valid ACFE (Association of Certified Fraud Examiners) certification.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of compliance issues, including corruption, money laundering, terrorist financing, conflicts of interest, compliance risk assessment, ethical behavior, sanctions, and KYC procedures.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure, meeting tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in English; knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese is highly desirable.
  • Experience in executing fraud investigations using specialized techniques.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation in Latin American countries.
  • Capability to manage sensitive information and handle highly confidential matters.
