Job Summary: Wärtsilä Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Supervisor to join our team in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. As a Field Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for performing service activities, such as overhauls and repairs, on 2-stroke marine diesel engines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced mechanical, electronic, and automation-related troubleshooting on 2-stroke engines and ancillary equipment.
- Lead and manage onsite teams during work execution, ensuring that work is executed according to Wärtsilä's Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety (QEHS) guidelines and site procedures.
- Commission service products and perform internal and external progress status of assigned work.
- Assist in creating Service Work Reports and follow-up on the status of work orders to customers and internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Relevant technical education or qualifications, combined with experience in reciprocating engine repair and overhaul.
- Technical experience in installation, operation, and maintenance of turbochargers, pumps, heat exchangers, fuel systems, lubrication systems, and cooling systems.
- Proven experience in installation, operation, and maintenance of medium-speed 2-stroke engines.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in languages needed to support the team.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to lead persons of different cultural backgrounds.
