Visual Arts Educator

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Visual Arts educator to join our school community. As a Visual Arts teacher, you will be responsible for teaching high school students through hands-on, project-based learning activities.
Our Teaching Model:
- Mentor Time: You will build deep relationships with your students through daily mentor groups, where you will coach and advocate for their growth and development.
- Project Time: You will teach 90-minute blocks of Visual Arts, focusing on developing cognitive skills and applying content knowledge to real-world situations.
- Collaboration & Professional Development: You will participate in regular collaboration sessions with colleagues, engaging in professional development and community decision-making.
Your Role:
- You will teach Visual Arts courses that develop cognitive skills and apply content knowledge to real-world situations.
- You will create lesson plans through a deep understanding of student progress data.
- You will facilitate discussions, coach students, and provide feedback in the classroom.
Requirements:
- California Teaching Credential or equivalent from another US state.
- Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree in Education preferred.
- Clear health and background check.
- Experience teaching Visual Arts is preferred but not required.
