Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Field Service Engineer to lead site activities, provide technical direction, and ensure safety, compliance, and quality.


This role involves performing all mechanical and hydraulic maintenance, repair or replacement of parts as directed. You will use hand tools and small power tools to conduct general maintenance of Aeroderivative Gas Turbines.


As part of our team, you will execute hands-on job duties on site, including sub-contractor coordination and customer/internal communication. You will also troubleshoot complicated mechanical and hydraulic problems on variable pitch/variable speed turbines.


In addition, you will oversee, overhaul, troubleshoot and commissioning of Aeroderivative products at customer sites. Leading in customer and contractor meetings to share and update action plans and to advise on technical solutions is another key aspect of this role.


You will ensure internal training, compliance and quality documentation is updated, followed, and completed according to company standards. Ensuring all in-field activities carried out safely complying with company environmental health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and procedures is also crucial.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role, you must have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Technical level in Mechanics. An active CREA or CFT certification is also required.


Prior experience as a mechanical technician on aircraft engines, aero-derivative engines or other types of turbine technology is necessary. Good mechanical/technical and oral communication skills are essential.


A working knowledge of the installation and maintenance of rotating equipment, bolting, hydraulic bolting, flange management, and small bore piping is required. Experience with gas turbines is preferred.


Working in a mechanical role in an energy or oil and gas environment (or similar) is also desirable. A strong customer service-orientation mindset and experience leading customers through tough decisions is crucial.


You must be able to communicate complex technical information to customers and teams with varying levels of technical understanding. A deep awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance and potential risks is essential.


Being a motivated self-starter and able to make key decisions and innovate solutions is vital. A good English knowledge is also required.


You will be available to travel globally 70% of the time.
